Megan Thee Stallion Rescues Dog from Euthanasia List After Learning About Kill Shelters
Megan Thee Stallion Rescues Dog Hours from Euthanasia
Megan Thee Stallion has made headlines after rescuing a dog just hours before he was scheduled to be euthanized. The rapper shared her heartwarming experience in an Instagram video posted on March 27.
In the video, Megan showcased her new canine companion, revealing her surprise upon learning about the existence of kill shelters, where animals often face euthanasia if they cannot find homes. “I was yesterday years old when I found out that there’s a such thing as a kill shelter, and they are putting down dogs when they cannot find them a home,” she explained to her followers.
Expressing her shock, Megan stated, “That is insane. They were going to put him down yesterday. And I said, ‘No, wait. Just give him to me. I’ll take him.’” The rapper, already a dog mom to French bulldog Foe, mentioned her anticipation about how the new addition would interact with her other pets, which include a Maine Coon cat and another dog named Dos. She affectionately introduced her new rescue dog as "TYGER."
This update follows closely on the heels of Megan’s Broadway debut in Moulin Rouge!, where she became the first woman to take on the role of Zidler. On March 24, she shared a video revealing her excitement during her first curtain call, expressing gratitude for the cast and crew who contributed to the success of opening night.
The Houston native has not released an album since 2024, when her work peaked at No. 3 on the Billboard 200. Last year, she released singles “Whenever” and “Lover Girl,” the latter of which reached the top 40 of the Billboard Hot 100.
