Matt Damon Shares His Love for Apples in Latest SNL Promo
Nearly three decades after his iconic line in Good Will Hunting, where he playfully inquires if a snooty college student likes apples, Matt Damon finds himself facing that same question again. This time, it comes from cast member Ben Marshall in a promotional clip for his upcoming hosting stint on Saturday Night Live.
“Hey Matt, do you like apples?” Marshall asks, eliciting a familiar response from Damon.
“Come on, man, don’t do this,” Damon replies, aware that he has likely fielded the question countless times from fans.
“What? I’m just asking a question,” Marshall retorts, prompting a weary sigh from Damon.
After a moment of resignation, Damon responds, “Fine. Fine. Yes.”
Marshall’s follow-up to Damon’s reply clearly catches the actor off guard, adding a layer of humor to the exchange.
Damon will return to SNL for his third hosting appearance on May 9, joined by musical guest Noah Kahan, who is set to perform for his second time. Following this, Damon will star in Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey, scheduled for release on July 17. Kahan’s fourth album, The Great Divide, is also set to debut on April 24.
Additionally, Will Ferrell is slated to host SNL for the sixth time during the season 51 finale on May 16, with Paul McCartney returning as musical guest for his fifth appearance.
