The series garnered an average of 1.5 million viewers, according to Nielsen’s live+same day ratings, achieving a 0.14 in the key demographic. This viewership remained relatively stable throughout its ten episodes.
Yes, Chef! featured 12 skilled chefs nominated by peers, family, and friends, who faced various culinary challenges designed to test their skills and personal growth. Throughout the competition, Stewart and Andrés guided contestants in overcoming personal obstacles, ultimately awarding a $250,000 grand prize to the chef who excelled in both culinary prowess and teamwork.
Produced by Magical Elves, the team behind Top Chef and Nailed It!, the show was executive produced by Stewart, Andrés, and several others, including Casey Kriley and Jo Sharon.
The cancellation follows NBC’s announcement of its summer schedule, which includes returning favorites such as America’s Got Talent and American Ninja Warrior. New programming set to premiere includes the natural history series Surviving Earth and Season 3 of Jimmy Fallon’s Password.
