Mark Zuckerberg and Priscilla Chan Make Their Met Gala Debut
Mark Zuckerberg and his wife, Priscilla Chan, attended the 2026 Met Gala, marking the couple’s inaugural appearance at this high-profile event. The Meta CEO opted for a classic black tuxedo, while Chan dazzled in a long-sleeved red dress complemented by a bold red lip.
The couple chose to forgo the red carpet, making a discreet entrance amid a protest across the street aimed at Amazon founder Jeff Bezos. This year, the Met Gala featured a theme titled “Costume Art,” which explores the relationship between clothing and the body.
According to reports, Zuckerberg and Chan were expected to participate in the fundraising event, which holds special significance this year as Bezos and his wife, Lauren Sánchez, served as lead sponsors and honorary co-chairs.
Following their appearance, the couple has drawn attention not just for their attire, but also for their involvement in the event, especially given the controversy surrounding Bezos’ sponsorship. Some celebrities have expressed their discontent, with speculation surrounding potential boycotts. For instance, actress Bella Hadid publicly showed support for calls not to wear “ICE Out” pins, indicating her disapproval of the event’s ties to Bezos.
Zuckerberg and Chan, both 41, have been married since May 2012 and reside in Palo Alto, California, with their three daughters: Maxima, 10, August, 8, and Aurelia, 3.
This year’s gala saw individual tickets priced at $100,000, with tables costing around $350,000, solidifying the event’s status as a significant fundraiser within the fashion industry.
The couple’s participation comes shortly after their unexpected appearance at Paris Fashion Week in February, where they were seen sitting front row at a Prada show, further emphasizing their growing footprint in the fashion world.
