Man On Fire Featuring Yahya Abdul-Mateen II and Bobby Cannavale Gets Netflix Release Date and Teaser Trailer
Netflix has announced the premiere date for its upcoming drama series, Man On Fire, set for April 30. The series stars Yahya Abdul-Mateen II in the role of John Creasy. The streaming platform also released the first trailer for the series.
Adapted from A.J. Quinnell’s novels Man on Fire and The Perfect Kill, this series follows John Creasy, a former Special Forces mercenary portrayed by Abdul-Mateen II. Once highly skilled and resilient, Creasy now struggles with severe PTSD as he embarks on a path to redemption. However, his efforts lead him back into perilous situations, forcing him to confront his past once more.
The cast includes Billie Boullet, Bobby Cannavale, Alice Braga, Scoot McNairy, and Paul Ben-Victor.

Quinnell’s works have previously been adapted for the screen, including the 2004 film Man On Fire, which featured Denzel Washington, as well as an Italian film of the same name from 1987.
Kyle Killen, known for Halo, Awake, and Lone Star, serves as the writer, executive producer, and showrunner. Executive producers for New Regency Productions include Arnon Milchan, Yariv Milchan, and Natalie Lehmann, while Peter Chernin, Jenno Topping, and Tracey Cook represent Chernin Entertainment. Killen and Scott Pennington are also executive producers for Chapter Eleven. Steven Caple Jr., who directed Transformers: Rise Of The Beasts and Creed II, will direct the first two episodes and also serve as an executive producer.
