Man Found Dead in Unoccupied Police Car Outside Azusa Police Headquarters
A man was discovered dead in an unoccupied police vehicle parked outside the Azusa Police Department in Los Angeles County on Thursday morning. Officials confirmed the incident occurred around 4:50 a.m.
The Azusa Police Department reported that the vehicle was not in active use and was scheduled for mandatory maintenance. Paramedics from the Los Angeles County Fire Department arrived shortly after the discovery, but the man was pronounced dead just before 5 a.m.
Investigators are looking into the circumstances surrounding the man’s death. The case is being handled by the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner-Coroner and the Azusa Police Department Detective Bureau.
Authorities have not yet released the man’s identity, but they indicated that more information may be disclosed as the investigation unfolds.
