Lupe Fiasco to Headline Friday Concert at 2026 Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach
Long Beach, CA – Grammy Award-winning hip-hop artist Lupe Fiasco is set to headline the Friday Concert at the 2026 Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach on April 17. Fiasco, known for his popular tracks such as “Kick, Push,” “Battle Scars,” and “The Show Goes On,” will perform at 6:30 p.m., marking the inaugural day of the three-day racing festival.
Event organizers announced that the concert will take place outside the Long Beach Terrace Theater, a centerpiece of the Grand Prix’s lively atmosphere. The concert is included with the price of general admission, which is $58 for April 17.
“I’ve always been a fan of racing and car culture, so I’m happy to be a part of the Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach,” Fiasco said in a press release. Organizers anticipate that his performance will provide a high-energy conclusion to a thrilling day of racing.
Diverse Entertainment at the Grand Prix
Scheduled to run from April 17 to April 19, the Acura Grand Prix will transform the streets of downtown Long Beach into a vibrant racing and entertainment hub. The festival promises “world-class racing meets live music, great food, family fun and the unmatched energy of the Long Beach waterfront.”
Entertainment highlights for the weekend include:
AAA Travel Lifestyle Expo: Featuring over 100 displays at the Long Beach Convention Center showcasing the latest in automotive, recreational, and travel products. Attendees can also enjoy racing simulators and Green Technology exhibits featuring hybrid and electric cars.
Family Fun Zone: A kid-friendly area within the Long Beach Arena offering rock climbing walls, carnival rides, and video games. Children ages 3-6 can even participate in racing their own “Lil’ Lightning” cars.
Korbel Welcome Plaza: A designated relaxation area featuring seating, live music, and additional entertainment.
Mornings CARnival: Scheduled for April 19, this car show outside Turn 9 invites fans to explore a variety of vehicles.
Food Options: Numerous food trucks will be stationed around the 1.97-mile circuit, alongside an expanded Food Truck Experience behind Grandstand 31.
Driver Autograph Sessions: Fans will have opportunities to meet and take photos with their favorite race car drivers throughout the weekend.
Racing Schedule Overview
The racing schedule kicks off on Friday, April 17, with spectator gates opening at 7:30 a.m. The day features a series of practice sessions for various competitions including the Porsche Carrera Cup and IMSA. Notable events include:
- Practice sessions for the NTT INDYCAR SERIES at 3 p.m.
- A driver autograph session at 5:15 p.m.
- The Friday Concert with Lupe Fiasco at 6:30 p.m.
