Lucas Hedges Joins Michael Cera in the Cast of ‘Love Is Not The Answer’
Character details remain under wraps for the upcoming film, Love Is Not the Answer. The cast includes Pamela Anderson, Steve Coogan, and Jamie Dornan. Fred Hechinger was initially announced as part of the cast in May but has since exited the project due to a scheduling conflict.
Produced by 2AM and Brookstreet Pictures, the film is described as a precise yet unpredictable absurdist comedy that navigates the themes of modern loneliness and the quest for connection, oscillating between humor and heartbreak. Further information about the film is still undisclosed.

The script for the film, which showcases the talent of actor Michael Cera, is produced by Julia Oh, David Hinojosa, Christine D’Souza Gelb, as well as Brookstreet Pictures’ Nick Gordon and Carter Stanton. Cera, Peter Niehoff, and Jomon Thomas will represent Mirador Pictures in production. Additional executive producers include Trevor Matthews of Brookstreet Pictures, Natalya Pavchinskaya from Mirador Pictures, and Brandon Thomas Lee and Jake Cloobeck of Evania, alongside Betsy Niehoff and Brendan McHugh. Oscar-nominated for his performance in Manchester by the Sea, Lucas Hedges has been active in recent films such as Sorry, Baby, Shirley, Let Them All Talk, and French Exit. Hedges is represented by Untitled Entertainment and Brecheen Feldman Breimer.
Previously featured in Netflix’s Ratched, actress Sophie Warner is represented by Gersh, Cinterra Entertainment, and Michael Auerbach.
BAFTA nominee and veteran actress Bonnie Wright, known for her role as Moaning Myrtle in the Harry Potter films, has also appeared in various projects, including the latest Bridget Jones film, Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy, Sofia Coppola’s Marie Antoinette, Bong Joon Ho’s Okja, and Netflix’s Dept. Q. Additionally, she has lent her voice to productions like The Mandalorian and Star Wars: Episode IX – The Rise of Skywalker. Wright is repped by B-Side Management and Goodman, Genow, Schenkman.
