DJ and producer LP Giobbi has been announced as the leader of this year’s PoWoW! at the Okeechobee Music & Arts Festival, marking the event’s return for the first time since 2023. The festival organizers made this announcement on Tuesday, March 10.
Giobbi will make history as the first woman to lead the Okeechobee superjam, where she will collaborate with Goose‘s Rick Mitarotonda, Big Gigantic‘s Dominic Lalli, and Aron Magner from the Disco Biscuits, along with other surprise guests.
Since its inception in 2016, the PoWoW! has featured numerous renowned artists, including Snoop Dogg, George Clinton & Parliament Funkadelic, Anderson .Paak, Solange, Skrillex, Mac Miller, and The Roots.
“The PoWoW is one of my favorite experiences we curate each year,” stated the festival’s founder, Julio Santo Domingo, also known as Rechulski. “It’s about bringing extraordinary artists together to create a truly once-in-a-lifetime moment, one where they push beyond the familiar and explore something entirely new in front of the fans. The fact that this year marks our first-ever female-led PoWoW makes it even more powerful. Creating experiences that fans can only have at Okeechobee is central to what we do, and the PoWoW is the ultimate expression of that vision.”
Cage the Elephant, Griz, Fisher, and The Lumineers headline the festival, which showcases a diverse lineup of hip-hop, dance, jam, and indie-rock genres. Other notable musical events will include the Aquachobee Dub Reggae Takeover, featuring Mykal Rose and the Subatomic Sound System, an Incendia stage dedicated to underground and bass music, and a round-the-clock Jungle 51 Stage with various DJ performances. Taking place from March 19 to 22, this year’s Okeechobee marks the festival’s first return to its namesake Florida town since 2023, when notable acts such as ODESZA, Baby Keem, Griz, Excision, Goose, and Turnstile headlined.
“It’s an honor to return to Okeechobee after helping lay its foundation,” said Ben Baruch, who was instrumental in booking the festival’s first three years from 2016 to 2018 and returns this year alongside Dave Niedbalski and Rechulski. “For 2026, our focus is on bringing back the magic of those early years – with a diverse, multi-genre lineup and unforgettable moments that tap into the roots of what made Okeechobee so special from the very beginning.” Baruch manages several acts, including Goose, The Disco Biscuits, and Big Gigantic through his 11E1even Group.
Notably, Okeechobee will return to its original independent ownership under Soundslinger for the first time since 2019. The festival was previously operated by Live Nation affiliate Insomniac from 2020 to 2023, a promoter known for major dance festivals, including Electric Daisy Carnival.
In addition to musical performances, Okeechobee has unveiled a variety of “Beyond The Music” offerings, which include a farmers market featuring Floridian goods, dining experiences celebrating global cultures, and daily yoga, meditation, and fitness classes. The revamped Chobeewobee Village will present interactive art, high-fidelity listening spaces, tarot readings, and other immersive experiences.
