Long Beach Firefighters Rescue Resident from Blazing Home
Critical Injury Reported in Long Beach House Fire
A house fire in Long Beach left a person in critical condition overnight, according to fire officials.
The Long Beach Fire Department responded to the incident on the 4600 block of Goldfield Avenue at approximately 12:30 a.m. Saturday. Upon arrival, first responders found the home heavily engulfed in smoke and flames.
Firefighters not only battled the blaze but also conducted a primary search of the residence to determine if anyone was trapped inside. During this search, one individual was located and rescued. The person was subsequently transported to a nearby hospital, where they remain in critical condition.
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation, and officials have not yet determined what ignited the flames.
