Liza Burnett Fefferman Becomes Chief Communications and Marketing Officer at Anonymous Content
Anonymous Content has appointed Liza Burnett Fefferman as the Chief Communications and Marketing Officer, a newly created role within the company. The announcement was made by President and CEO Darren Walker during a companywide town hall meeting earlier today.
This position marks a significant shift for Anonymous Content, which has previously relied on external public relations firms. Under Fefferman’s leadership, the company plans to establish a centralized communications and marketing organization. She will report directly to Walker and will be a part of the executive leadership team.
“Liza is a force – so many trusted colleagues recommended her, and it became immediately clear why,” Walker said. “She’s a big thinker, strategic powerhouse, and exceptionally resolute in setting the highest bar. I am elated to partner with someone of Liza’s caliber, experience, and integrity as we build on Anonymous Content’s legacy and chart its next chapter.”
Fefferman most recently served as Executive Vice President of Communications for Paramount’s Showtime/MTV Entertainment Studios. In that capacity, she oversaw a wide range of responsibilities, including corporate strategy, media relations, crisis management, and consumer insights for a portfolio that encompassed MTV, Comedy Central, Paramount Network, and others. She also co-headed MTV Documentary Films, a division she founded, before leaving in August, coinciding with Skydance’s acquisition of parent company Paramount Global.

During her tenure of over nine years at Paramount and its predecessor Viacom, Fefferman contributed to notable productions such as the Yellowstone franchise, South Park, and The Daily Show. Her efforts helped the brands under her management earn 193 Emmy nominations and 50 wins, as well as seven Oscar nominations and two Peabody Awards.
“Anonymous Content’s enviable talent roster, culture-defining films/series/commercials, and creative independence are unmatched,” Fefferman remarked. “When Darren approached me, I jumped at the opportunity to work at a company I deeply respect with a visionary and transformative leader I’ve long admired and a singular long-term investment partner in Emerson Collective.”
Before her time at Paramount, Fefferman held senior roles at RADiUS-TWC, Samuel Goldwyn Films, and The Weinstein Company. She began her career at Dan Klores Communications, where she created DKC/Film.
