Lionsgate Partners with Brandon Sklenar and Vista Lane Pictures for Exciting New Projects
Lionsgate Expands Partnership with Rising Star Brandon Sklenar
Lionsgate has announced an extension of its collaboration with actor Brandon Sklenar, following the success of the film The Housemaid, which has grossed $394 million at the global box office since its release in December.
“Brandon is immensely talented, deeply committed to the craft, and someone whose presence elevates every project he’s part of,” stated Erin Westerman, president of Lionsgate Motion Picture Group. “We were incredibly grateful when he joined us as Andrew in The Housemaid, and watching him bring that character to life only reinforced what a special collaborator he is. We’re thrilled to be continuing this partnership with Brandon and Vista Lane and can’t wait to build new stories and opportunities together.”
This move builds on the successful reception of The Housemaid, which was brought to Lionsgate by MPG Senior Vice President Chelsea Kujawa, who oversaw its development and production.
Reflecting on his passion for filmmaking, Sklenar remarked, “Ever since I was a kid, films have been my happy place; bold, exciting films that provoke, inspire and stand the test of time — that’s the reason I started Vista Lane Pictures. Lionsgate shares that vision, and I can’t wait to see what we create together.”
In addition to his role in The Housemaid, Sklenar gained significant recognition for his performances in It Ends With Us, which amassed nearly $350 million globally, and Taylor Sheridan’s 1923, where he starred alongside Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren. He also featured in Lionsgate’s Midway, directed by Roland Emmerich.
Currently, Sklenar is filming Vegas: A Love Story, cast alongside Maika Monroe, Paul Dano, Michael Shannon, and Judy Greer. He is also set to reunite with Sheridan for F.A.S.T., which is being developed for Warner Bros. under the direction of 1923‘s Ben Richardson.
Sklenar’s new deal was negotiated for Lionsgate by Dan Freedman. He is represented by WME, Neon Kite, and Goodman, Genow, Schenkman, Smelkinson & Christopher.
