Lily Collins Shares Heartwarming Story of Reuniting with Her Stolen Engagement Ring After Three Years
Lily Collins has expressed her joy after reuniting with her engagement ring, nearly three years after it was stolen. The actress, known for her role on *Emily in Paris* and as the daughter of musician Phil Collins, shared the news with her followers on Instagram.
In a heartfelt post on March 6, Collins, 36, credited @joethejewelerchicago for their assistance in recovering the ring. “So grateful to @joethejewelerchicago for helping recover my original engagement ring after it was stolen almost three years ago,” she wrote. “Having this home means SO much to us. I’m still speechless it’s back on my finger.”
The theft occurred in May 2023 during a visit to the spa at The West Hollywood EDITION hotel, where her engagement ring, wedding band, and some electronic items were stolen. The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department confirmed that the theft was valued at over $10,000, but found no signs of tampering with the area where Collins’ belongings were stored.
In her announcement, Collins shared a radiant selfie showcasing the ring, which has a rose-cut diamond on a thin gold band. Dressed in a simple brown tee with natural makeup, she appeared overjoyed, emphasizing the ring’s return. She also showed her appreciation for the jeweler in another post, encouraging followers to support the family-owned business.

I will forever cherish my adventure with you.” The couple tied the knot the following year in a romantic ceremony at Dunton Hot Springs, Colorado, and welcomed their daughter, Tove Jane McDowell, via surrogate in January 2025.
In their joint announcement of their daughter’s birth, the couple expressed their gratitude, stating, “Words will never express our endless gratitude for our incredible surrogate and everyone who helped us along the way.” They added, “We love you to the moon and back again…”
