LAPD Asks for Community Assistance in Solving 2019 Koreatown Homicide
LAPD Seeks Public’s Help in Solving 2019 Murder of Juan Cuevas in Koreatown
The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) has renewed its efforts to identify the individual or individuals responsible for the murder of Juan Cuevas, who was shot in Koreatown on January 9, 2019.
According to authorities, Cuevas was standing in front of a driveway in the 4700 block of Beverly Boulevard around 10:23 p.m. when a dark-colored Honda Accord approached the area. A suspect wearing dark clothing exited the passenger side of the vehicle, confronted Cuevas, and shot him before fleeing on foot. The suspect was later captured on video re-entering the vehicle.
Cuevas was promptly taken to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
To aid in the investigation, the City of Los Angeles is offering a $50,000 reward for information that leads to the arrest and prosecution of those involved. Detectives from the LAPD’s Robbery-Homicide Division, West Section, are actively pursuing leads in this case.
