Lane and Connector Closures Planned for the 60 Freeway in Diamond Bar
Motorists Urged to Prepare for Upcoming Closures on 60 Freeway in Diamond Bar
Diamond Bar, CA – Motorists are advised to plan ahead as lane and ramp closures are set to take place on the 60 Freeway next week. The closures, which will affect traffic between Lemon Avenue/Brea Canyon Road and Diamond Bar Boulevard, are scheduled to begin at midnight on Friday and will last until 8 a.m. on Sunday, according to the San Gabriel Valley Council of Governments.
The specific closures are as follows:
On Saturday until 6 a.m., the westbound Diamond Bar Boulevard on-ramp and both the Grand Avenue on- and off-ramps will be closed, along with the connector from the southbound Orange (57) Freeway to the westbound 60 Freeway.
Additionally on Saturday, the westbound 60 connector to the southbound 57 will be closed alongside the Grand Avenue Bridge.
On Sunday, there will be closures affecting the northbound connector from the 57 Freeway to the eastbound 60, as well as the on- and off-ramps from the eastbound 60 to Grand Avenue.
Later on Sunday, the westbound 60 will see the Diamond Bar Boulevard on-ramp closed, in conjunction with the Grand Avenue on- and off-ramps. The westbound connector from the 60 to the southbound 57 will also be closed, along with the Grand Avenue Bridge.
These closures are part of a broader safety and traffic flow project along a two-mile stretch of the Orange-Pomona freeway interchange.
To provide more information, a virtual news conference will be held on Wednesday morning, during which officials will outline the details of the closures and suggest alternative routes for affected motorists.
