LA Detectives Recover $7 Million in Stolen Cargo
Authorities Seize Millions in Stolen Goods and Cash in Major Cargo Theft Investigation
In a significant crackdown on organized crime, authorities have confiscated millions of dollars in stolen merchandise and cash during a series of searches across Southern California. The LA County Sheriff’s Department announced on Friday that detectives focused on cargo theft investigations conducted operations at 13 locations in Los Angeles, Riverside, and San Bernardino counties.
The detectives, who have been tracking various crime rings since December 2025, recovered approximately $7 million worth of stolen cargo along with $1 million in cash. Nine individuals were arrested as a result of these operations.
The seized merchandise originated from 36 different companies, including notable retailers such as Amazon, Costco, Sony, Marshalls, and Disney. The range of recovered items is extensive, featuring products such as Hisense televisions, LG microwaves, Canon printers, Sony soundbars, Milwaukee tools, golf carts, ATVs, Disney clothing, and Ring cameras.
This operation highlights the ongoing efforts by law enforcement to combat organized theft and safeguard businesses within the region.
