Kristen Stewart Captivates NYC with a Bold Sheer Outfit
Kristen Stewart Dazzles in Bold Fashion Statement During NYC Appearance
New York City, January 5, 2026 — Actress Kristen Stewart turned heads with an eye-catching outfit while arriving at NBC Studios on Monday. The 35-year-old star stepped out in a striking sheer, nude-toned sequin slip dress from The New Arrivals by İlkyaz Özel, deliberately showcasing her black underwear.
Completing her edgy look, Stewart layered the dress with a Leset crop top, which retails for $78, and paired it with black Patty ankle boots from Casadei. The ensemble was styled by renowned stylist Tara Swennen for her appearance on Late Night with Seth Meyers.
Stewart’s makeup, crafted by artist Misha Shahzada, featured a minimalistic glam design, while stylist David von Cannon gave her a tousled updo and choppy bangs that perfectly complemented the bold outfit.
Earlier in the day, Stewart opted for comfort, wearing a cozy black hoodie with a plaid lining and sunglasses while navigating the city.
In high spirits, Stewart was in town to promote her directorial debut, The Chronology of Water, now in theaters. The film tells the powerful story of a woman who discovers her passion for swimming after overcoming an abusive childhood.
During her late-night appearance, host Seth Meyers inquired about Stewart’s New Year’s Eve, lightheartedly asking, “Not a very boozy New Year’s Eve, or was it?” He shared a nostalgic photo of the two enjoying drinks during a past encounter, which prompted fond memories from Stewart.
“We have a great time,” Meyers remarked. “You gave me a lesbian makeover and did a great job.” Stewart agreed, expressing her admiration: “I love how you stuck to it as well. I’m really impressed.”
As the conversation shifted to New Year’s resolutions, Stewart reflected on her desire for more self-care, both mentally and physically. “I never sit down and go like, ‘Now is the time to take care of yourself,’” she admitted. “But my mindset is changing… It’s nice to go through periods of release. Right now, I kind of want to, like, absorb.”
Stewart, who gained fame as Bella Swan in the Twilight series, recently expressed interest in directing a remake of the franchise. She praised the original directors—Catherine Hardwicke, Chris Weitz, and others— for their unique approaches to the films. “Imagine if we had a huge budget and a bunch of love and support. I don’t know — I would love to readapt. Yeah, sure, I’ll do the remake. I’m doing it! I’m committed!” she declared.
