Kendra Wilkinson Responds to Aging Concerns: “I’m Embracing Myself”
Kendra Wilkinson Embraces Aging Amid Criticism
Kendra Wilkinson, widely recognized from her reality television days, has expressed her positive outlook on aging despite facing harsh comments online. The 40-year-old star took to Instagram on March 8 to share her thoughts on self-acceptance while addressing critics who claim she is “aging poorly.”
In a candid selfie, Wilkinson wrote, “I used to use a light filter on myself but now I’m just embracing myself as it is. I’ve seen many people comment saying I’ve aged ‘poorly’ and that is ok. I’m ok with aging ‘poorly.’”
Reflecting on her current state of mind, Wilkinson stated, “For some reason I’m happier than I’ve ever been lately, even with a little weight gain and wrinkles. I’m not going to tie my happiness again into the negative energy.” She emphasized her journey towards self-empowerment, describing herself as a “balanced, single, positive, fun woman who loves life,” and expressed hope to maintain that spirit indefinitely.
In her post, shared on International Women’s Day, Wilkinson noted, “I was verrrry young when I started tv and lived a crazy chaotic 20 years of impressing others but now it’s about ME. Giving back to ME. Even with less money and way less fame.”
Wilkinson, a mother of two, shared her pride in her children. “I’m now a realtor and a mom of a 16 and an 11-year-old. Watching them grow has been my ultimate happiness over everything else. I’m so beyond grateful for today!”
After her split from ex-husband Hank Baskett in 2009, Wilkinson clarified that she isn’t seeking a romantic relationship at the moment, stating, “I embrace life as it is. Grateful for being an aging woman and [I] have awesome few friends.”
Having gained fame at 18 as part of Hugh Hefner’s reality show, Wilkinson continues to navigate life with resilience and a focus on personal wellbeing.
