Hey Dude, the beloved Nickelodeon series, reunited its cast recently at the Tanque Verde Ranch in Tucson, Arizona, where the show was filmed. This special gathering was part of a new episode of the podcast Hey Dude… The 90’s Called!.
The live reunion aired on January 31, 2026, marking 35 years since the series concluded in August 1991. Hosts Christine Taylor and David Lascher joined their former castmates, David Brisbin, Kelly Brown, Debra Kalman, Joe Torres, Geoffrey Coy, Jonathan Galkin, and Josh Tygiel, for a nostalgic look back at their time together.
During the event, Brown, who portrayed Brad, shared her feelings about revisiting remnants of the show’s set still found in the area.

“It felt like, well, ‘This is what the last few seconds must be like when you leave the Earth,’ because [I felt] everything,” Brown expressed during the reunion.
She recounted her emotions as she revisited the ranch, stating, “I pulled through those gates and everything, all the memories, was flooding. I knew I was going to be emotional, so I went the day before to gather myself. I cried and got it all out yesterday. It was intense.”

On the subject of changes to the set, Taylor, known for her role as Melody, remarked, “A lot of it is just not there. That’s also very surreal. Like, our bunk house, Brad and Melody’s bunk house, gone.”
Brown echoed her sentiments, agreeing that much of the set has been reduced to rubble.
Hey Dude originally debuted on Nickelodeon in July 1989, running for five seasons until August 1991. The series was cast, in part, through local auditions in Tucson, where Tygiel, who played Buddy, was initially cast, despite Buddy being new to ranch life in the show’s narrative. Each season explored coming-of-age themes intertwined with the challenges of ranch life.
The full reunion will be available in an episode of Hey Dude… The 90’s Called! for those unable to attend the live stream, set to be released in the coming weeks.
