K-pop enthusiasts are gearing up for the return of KCON LA, which will take place this summer at Crypto.com Arena and the Los Angeles Convention Center. Entertainment company CJ ENM confirmed the event’s dates as August 14-16.
Since launching in 2012, KCON has evolved into the world’s largest K-pop fan convention. Last year’s event attracted over 100,000 fans in downtown Los Angeles, and expectations are high for this summer’s festivities.
This year’s theme, “Walk in SOUL CITY,” aims to immerse fans in various aspects of Korean culture through interactive exhibits and booths. One highlight will be the Olive Young Festa, showcasing South Korea’s leading beauty products. Additionally, attendees can savor popular Korean dishes in the K-Food Zone and explore Korean dramas and films in the new K-Story Zone.
Although the specific lineup will be revealed next week, fans can anticipate live performances from prominent K-pop artists. Last year featured acts such as a subunit of SEVENTEEN, RIIZE, NCT 127, and aespa. This year, performances will unfold across multiple stages, with headliners allocated hour-long slots on both the M Countdown Stage and the Artist Stage.
