Kawhi Leonard Matches Clippers Franchise Record in Win Against Bulls
Clippers Extend Winning Streak with Victory Over Bulls
Los Angeles, CA – The Los Angeles Clippers secured a 119-108 victory against the Chicago Bulls on Friday night, marking their fourth consecutive win. Kawhi Leonard led the team with 28 points, while Bennedict Mathurin contributed 26 points.
Jordan Miller also made significant contributions, adding 14 points to help the Clippers maintain their position in the Western Conference play-in tournament. With this win, the Clippers improved their record to 34-32, following a challenging start to the season where they began at 6-21.
Leonard’s impressive performance continues to shine, as he recorded at least 20 points for the 44th straight game, tying Bob McAdoo’s franchise record set during the 1974-75 season. Notably, the Clippers played without Darius Garland, who was out due to management of a left toe injury as they approached a back-to-back game schedule.
For the Bulls, Josh Giddey notched his 11th triple-double of the season with 20 points, 11 rebounds, and 10 assists. Tre Jones added 21 points, while Matas Buzelis contributed 18 points, but Chicago finished its West Coast trip with a record of 2-3. The Bulls shot 44.2% from the field and struggled from beyond the arc, hitting only 29.3% of their three-point attempts.
This loss came on the heels of a defeat to the Los Angeles Lakers, where they fell 142-130, marking a disappointing back-to-back outing in Southern California.
