KATSEYE’s ‘Pinky Up’ Selected as This Week’s Top New Music by Fans

KATSEYE, a global girl group, has achieved a significant milestone this week as their new single “Pinky Up” topped the fan-voted music poll.
Listeners cast their votes in a poll published on Friday, April 10, where they selected the group’s latest track as their favorite new release. This marks KATSEYE’s first song released while member Manon is on hiatus.
“Pinky Up” garnered widespread support during a week filled with new music from artists such as Lady Gaga, Doechii, Tiny Habits, and The Strokes. By the poll’s conclusion on Sunday, KATSEYE had amassed 50% of the total votes.
The up-tempo, hyper-pop single was crafted by notable songwriters Justin Tranter, along with producers dwilly, “hitman” bang, and FRANTS. It was also accompanied by a vibrant music video directed by Bardia Zeinali.
KATSEYE further showcased “Pinky Up” with its live debut at Coachella, where the group performed the track on Friday night.
“We absolutely love, love, love the song,” Daniela told Billboard on Saturday after their performance at the festival in Indio, California. “To perform it for the very first time, debut it at Coachella, was fire. I looked back at the videos and I was like, ‘Guys, we ate that.’ Especially the dance break. The crowd went wild.”
Megan added, “I think it’s one of our favorites. It’s very hard-hitting, something that makes us feel confident. I think it’s probably pretty high up there.”
In the fan poll, Lady Gaga and Doechii’s “Runway” followed in second place with 12% of the votes, while Tiny Habits’ “Right in Front of Me” captured 10%.
