Kate Middleton Stuns in Head-to-Toe Emerald Alexander McQueen with Shamrock Accents
Kate Middleton, the Princess of Wales, showcased her festive spirit at the Irish Guards’ St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Aldershot, England, on Tuesday. The 44-year-old royal, serving as Colonel of the Regiment, presented traditional sprigs of shamrock to soldiers as well as to Seamus, the regimental Irish Wolfhound mascot.
Dressed in an emerald double-breasted coat by Alexander McQueen, cinched with a black leather belt, Middleton complemented her outfit with a sleeveless McQueen dress, a black scarf, and Cornelia James gloves, which retail for $175.
The princess added a festive touch with real shamrocks pinned to her lapel, and accessorized with Asprey London emerald and diamond Halo earrings and an Irish Guards Officer’s Cap badge. She completed her look with a Gina Foster Millinery forest green felt hat, which she previously wore to the same parade in 2014 and 2018, as well as to Christmas Day services in 2024.
Middleton’s appearance marked her return to the event following an absence in 2024 due to cancer treatment. She made a solo appearance last year, donning a dark blue-green McQueen coat that featured a Cartier-designed shamrock brooch.
Traditionally, Middleton opts for shades of green for the occasion, although she deviated in 2023 by wearing a striking turquoise coatdress. As for whether she celebrated the occasion with a traditional toast of Guinness remains to be discovered.
