Kate Middleton embraced the festive spirit this Christmas, sporting one of her signature coats during the royal family’s annual church outing on December 25.
The 43-year-old Princess of Wales was joined by her husband, Prince William, and their children—Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis—for the traditional Christmas Day service. This year, Princess Kate chose a bespoke Blaze Milano coat she had previously worn multiple times in 2025, showcasing her penchant for recycling favorite pieces.
The coat’s burgundy tone elegantly complemented the family’s seasonal color palette, mirroring Princess Charlotte’s brown outfit while also subtly aligning with the red shades favored by Queen Camilla and others in attendance.

To complete her look, the royal mother accessorized with a patterned scarf and a new brown hat from Juliette Botterill Millinery, which added a touch of festive flair.
Since marrying Prince William in 2011, Kate has garnered a reputation for her stylish choices, especially during the holiday season. Whether adorning herself with a tiara for a state banquet or picking Christmas trees with her children, she consistently dresses for the occasion. While she often opts for traditional colors like red and green, she has shown that other hues can also evoke holiday cheer.

While her holiday wardrobe received acclaim, Princess Kate has expressed regrets over past outfits. In 2019, she wore a gray Catherine Walker coat with a faux fur collar during a warmer-than-expected Christmas service. She humorously acknowledged to a well-wisher, “I really shouldn’t have worn this.”
Kate’s fashion philosophy includes a commitment to sustainability, often recycling outfits over the years and embracing the late Queen Elizabeth’s vibrant color approach to stand out in a crowd.

In a documentary titled The Queen at 90, Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh, elaborated on the importance of distinctive style choices, emphasizing the need for the Queen to stand out in large crowds: “She needs to stand out for people to be able to say, ‘I saw the Queen.’
Sophie further observed, “Don’t forget that when she turns up somewhere, the crowds are two, three, four, 10, 15 deep, and someone wants to be able to say they saw a bit of the Queen’s hat as she went past.”
