Kate Middleton Pays Tribute to Princess Diana in a Navy Blue Ensemble with Her Jewelry
Kate Middleton Pays Homage to Princess Diana During ANZAC Day Commemoration
On Saturday, April 25, Kate Middleton honored her late mother-in-law, Princess Diana, with a striking navy blue ensemble during the Commemoration and Thanksgiving service for ANZAC Day in London. The 44-year-old Princess of Wales donned a tailored navy blazer designed by Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen, featuring eye-catching white lapels. Accompanying her outfit was a matching bonnet adorned with a bow at the back.
To accentuate her look, Middleton wore diamond-and-sapphire earrings that previously belonged to Diana, along with her iconic engagement ring. She completed her ensemble with a sparkling necklace and a chic DeMellier handbag.
For her makeup, the Princess opted for subtly smoked brown eyeshadow, long lashes, and a fresh blush. Her brunette hair, styled in a half-updo with curled ends, added to her polished appearance.
This isn’t the first instance of Middleton drawing inspiration from Diana. The late royal wore a remarkably similar outfit in July 1995 while presenting new colors to the Light Dragoon Guards Regiment in Germany. Diana’s ensemble featured a dark blue blazer with white lapels and cuffs, paired with a pencil skirt and a layered pearl necklace. Her look was further elevated by a wide-brimmed white hat with a bow, along with her engagement ring and pearl earrings.
Throughout the years, Middleton has made several style nods to her mother-in-law. In 2022, she echoed Diana’s elegance at the Trooping of the Color parade, wearing a white blazer and navy hat that mirrored Diana’s appearance during a farewell parade in 1991. On that occasion, the late princess dazzled in a white blazer dress adorned with lace embellishments and a statement hat featuring black details.
As Middleton continues to embrace the legacy of Princess Diana through fashion, her choices resonate deeply with royal watchers and fans alike, illustrating the enduring impact of Diana’s style on modern royalty.
