Kate Hudson’s Daughter Rani Struggles to Adjust to Her Mom’s New Hairstyle
Kate Hudson’s Kids Critique Her New Hairdo for Upcoming Film
In a recent appearance on Late Night with Seth Meyers, actress Kate Hudson revealed that her children were less than enthusiastic about her dramatic hair transformation for her role in the upcoming film Song Sung Blue.
During her conversation with Meyers, Hudson shared that her seven-year-old daughter, Rani, had particularly strong opinions about her mother’s new ’80s-inspired look. “I put my hair on, I’d FaceTime my kids, and they were like, ‘You can’t FaceTime us with this hair!’” Hudson joked, shedding light on her children’s candid feedback.
Echoing her daughter’s assertive sense of style, Hudson noted that Rani had “a lot of style notes” regarding the transformation, specifically saying, “She had a hard time with this hair. Well, she likes sequins, but she doesn’t like anything puffy. She’s very specific. It’s like having Anna Wintour in your house.”
Hudson stars alongside Hugh Jackman in Song Sung Blue, where they portray Mike and Claire Sardina, a married couple who perform in a Neil Diamond tribute band named Lightning & Thunder. The film is inspired by a 2008 documentary of the same name.
The duo recently celebrated the movie’s premiere at AMC Lincoln Square Theater in New York City. For the occasion, Hudson wore an eye-catching ensemble featuring an ultra plunging green gown layered with a sheer pink cape, embodying a distinctly early 2000s aesthetic.
Jackman seized the opportunity at the premiere to showcase his girlfriend, Sutton Foster, during a rare red carpet appearance together, with the couple donning coordinated outfits in navy and black.
The film and its accompanying press events highlight not only Hudson’s acting versatility but also her role as a mother in navigating family dynamics amidst a busy career.
