Influencer Kat Stickler recently shared a humorous wardrobe malfunction with her followers involving a $12 Amazon dress. The 31-year-old content creator took to her Instagram Stories on Tuesday, December 2, to reveal the gray, long-sleeved sweater dress she had been wearing throughout the day.
During her candid post, Stickler, engulfed in laughter, demonstrated the dress’s unfortunate tendency to reveal her bare stomach whenever she sat down because of the buttons running down the front. “I can see your belly button,” someone off-camera quipped, prompting more laughter from Stickler. “But it was only $12 so it’s fine! But I’ve been walking around with my dress [like this],” she exclaimed, tears of laughter streaming down her face.
Following her amusing revelation, Stickler showcased her black knee-high boots, affectionately calling them “go-go boots,” and accessorized with gold earrings and a long gold necklace. She humorously annotated the video with, “I cannot get over the fact I wore this all day and didn’t realize I was literally busting out of it.”
In further jest, Stickler created a skit titled “POV: on a first date in your luteal phase,” where she pretended to tell her date that she had gained “six lbs in my sleep last night,” leading to the dress fitting improperly.

Stickler’s fashion faux pas follows another noteworthy moment, as she caught the attention of fans by donning John Mayer’s "Life With John Mayer Baby Blue Sweatpants" in a recent Instagram post. The photo featured Stickler alongside a box of donuts, which could be a playful reference to Mayer’s "Donut Sundays" tradition during his tours.
Only a month prior, sources revealed that Stickler and Mayer are casually dating. “John sought her out and pursued her,” an insider stated in October. “Kat just broke up with someone she had been dating for a few months and thought it would be fun to date again, and was interested in John.” The relationship, described as still very new, has involved multiple outings, including a sighting at Fly Fish in New York City.
While an insider noted that Stickler, who shares her daughter Mary-Katherine, 5, with ex-husband Michael Stickler, does not view the new relationship as serious, she is enjoying her time with Mayer.
