Julia Rae and Russell Dickerson Launch a New Golf Dating Reality Series with Jack Sussman
New Dating Reality Series Set in Golf Introduces a Unique Twist on Finding Love
Julia Rae, known for her role on ABC’s The Bachelor: Listen to Your Heart, and country music artist Russell Dickerson are set to host a new dating reality series titled Score Love. The show is produced by Jack Sussman, who previously held the position of Executive Vice President of Specials, Music, and Live Events at CBS.
Score Love focuses on pairing single golfers in their quest for romance. Contestants will face various challenges on the golf course, aiming to find love one hole at a time. The final couple, deemed the champions of Score Love, will receive a cash prize. Ben Soffer, CEO of the drinks brand Spritz Society, will feature as Cart Boy, providing refreshments to the contestants.
The series, created by Rae, has commenced production on its pilot episode in Dallas, Texas. As of now, the platform for its release remains uncertain, whether it will debut on YouTube or another outlet.
Rae recounts her personal connection to golf, having met her husband on a chance pairing during a round four years ago. She is now an advocate for introducing her single friends to the sport.
Sussman, who departed CBS in 2024 after a notable 25-year tenure, has also worked on prestigious events like the Tonys and the Kennedy Center Honors. He will collaborate on this project alongside Marissa Mackel, a former team member at Ventureland. Key partners for the series include Good Good Golf, The PGA of America, Omni Hotels & Resorts, and Spritz Society.
Score Love is part of Rae’s media company of the same name, supported by Jesse Draper’s early-stage venture capital fund, Halogen Ventures. Additionally, Rae is initiating the Score Love Tour, which will span seven cities across the U.S.
Reflecting on the concept, Rae stated, “Nothing intensifies first tee nerves quite like a first date, and golf’s pace allows space for sparks to fly. I built this show around that kind of raw magic; hand someone a driver and watch them fall in love or land in the rough.” She expressed excitement about collaborating with partners like Good Good and having Dickerson as her co-host.
Dickerson added, “This show is thoughtfully crafted and perfectly spontaneous all at the same time. It was so fun to bring a little bit of the RD party to the show and the golf course. Julia is an absolute star, and it was awesome feeding off her energy.”
