Judith Light shares her budget-friendly beauty routine from her time on ‘Who’s the Boss?’
Judith Light Reveals Affordable Secrets to Her Youthful Glow
In a recent interview, actress Judith Light shared her surprisingly simple and budget-friendly skincare regimen. Speaking exclusively with Page Six at The Wrap’s Power Women New York breakfast, the 77-year-old Emmy winner highlighted, “Castor oil, Vaseline, and coconut oil” as her go-to products for maintaining her youthful appearance.
Light, known for her roles in Who’s the Boss? and Transparent, expressed her enthusiasm, joking, “I swear to God. I mean, I sound like, I’m, you know, grooming a horse!”
Though she enjoys high-end skincare brands like La Mer and La Prairie, Light emphasized her preference for natural products, stating, “We also love natural things and things that are safe and good for the environment.”
When discussing her nighttime routine, she remarked, “So, yes, those are the things that I use every night.” Light humorously added that after applying her skincare, she “greased up like a seal” but always puts on socks over her moisturized feet.
Light began her career on Broadway before gaining fame in the mid-1970s for her portrayal of Karen Wolek on One Life to Live, followed by her iconic role as Angela Bower in Who’s the Boss?. The sitcom aired from 1984 to 1992, and while she was not concerned about being typecast, Light acknowledged the necessity to remind the industry of her diverse talents.
“You have to guide the industry. It’s not their responsibility to know all of what you do,” she explained.
Recently, Light returned to the stage, winning back-to-back Tony Awards for her performances in Other Desert Cities and The Assembled Parties. Her continued success in television includes acclaimed roles in Impeachment, The Politician, and most recently, All’s Fair.
In her career, the talented actress remains grounded, insisting that humility and service are at the heart of her profession. As Light joined her peers Lea Michele and Kerry Washington for a panel discussion, it became clear that her passion for acting is as strong as ever.
