Jordana Brewster Joins Joel Kinnaman and John Malkovich in Upcoming Thriller Series Bishop
Jordana Brewster, known for her role in the Fast & Furious franchise, has been cast alongside Joel Kinnaman, John Malkovich, and Jennifer Jason Leigh in the new Prime Video thriller drama series Bishop. The series is crafted by co-creators Little Marvin and Tony Saltzman, produced by Vertigo and Amazon MGM Studios.
In Bishop, Kinnaman stars as Bishop Graves, a homicide detective who uses his exceptional skills to track down a mysterious killer targeting the affluent in San Francisco. As the killer gains notoriety among the city’s marginalized, Graves becomes increasingly convinced that the murders are linked to his father, Lincoln Graves, portrayed by Malkovich.
Brewster will take on the role of Kat Claiborne, a seasoned inspector with the San Francisco Police Department. Jennifer Jason Leigh is set to play Lincoln Graves’ sister and Bishop’s aunt.
Little Marvin serves as the showrunner for Bishop, which he and Saltzman executive produce alongside Roy Lee and Miri Yoon of Vertigo. The project is part of Marvin’s overall deal with Amazon MGM Studios, with Felicia Fasano as casting director.
Brewster, celebrated for her portrayal of Mia Toretto, was recently seen in Sony’s horror romantic comedy Heart Eyes and the Lionsgate thriller Cellar Door, alongside Scott Speedman and Laurence Fishburne. Her television credits include Ryan Murphy’s American Crime Story and Fox’s Lethal Weapon. She is set to appear in the upcoming film The Pirate King, directed by Josh Plasse, which premieres on March 16 at SXSW.
