The first film depicted Hanks as a seasoned Navy veteran, tasked with his first command to protect a convoy of 37 ships filled with thousands of soldiers and essential supplies as they traverse the perilous Atlantic waters during World War II. For five lengthy days, with no air support, the captain and his three escort ships navigate the dangerous waters known as “the Black Pit,” battling Nazi U-boats to safeguard their invaluable cargo and crew.
Both films are penned by Hanks, directed by Aaron Schneider, and produced by Gary Goetzman.
Schaech is represented by Link Entertainment, while Lange is represented by Trademark Talent and Innovative Artists.
