Jack Ryan Returns to the Big Screen in ‘Ghost War’
Jack Ryan, the iconic character portrayed by John Krasinski, is set to make his cinematic debut on May 20 with the release of Jack Ryan: Ghost War, announced Prime Video.
The teaser for the film highlights a narrative centered around a deeply personal and perilous mission for Ryan, who is once again thrust into the world of espionage. Joining him in this thrilling installment is new cast member Sienna Miller.
As the stakes rise and threats escalate, Ryan collaborates with seasoned CIA operative Mike November, played by Michael Kelly, and former CIA director James Greer, portrayed by Wendell Pierce. Their extensive experience will be crucial in outmaneuvering an adversary who seems to anticipate their every move. They are unexpectedly joined by MI6 officer Emma Marlowe, played by Miller, as they confront a web of betrayal that intertwines with their pasts.
Ghost War marks the first feature film within the Prime franchise, set to premiere on May 20.
Previously, the Jack Ryan television series ran for four seasons from 2018 to 2023 and has been recognized as one of Prime Video’s most popular shows.
The film is directed by Andrew Bernstein, with a screenplay crafted by Krasinski and Aaron Rabin. The story is a collaborative effort by Noah Oppenheim and Krasinski. Based on characters created by Tom Clancy, the film is produced by Allyson Seeger, Krasinski, and Andrew Form, with executive production from John J. Kelly, Alexa Ginsburg, Carlton Cuse, and Clancy.
