Joe Swash Joins Off Limits Group from YMU: What It Means for Fans
Joe Swash Signs with Off Limits Group Following Departure from YMU
Joe Swash, the star of the popular BBC reality series Stacey & Joe, has made the decision to leave YMU to join Off Limits Group. Swash gained prominence for his role as Mickey Miller in the BBC soap EastEnders and later captured the public’s attention by winning ITV’s I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! in 2008.
Alongside his wife, Stacey Solomon, Swash has become a beloved presence on BBC One in Stacey & Joe, a series that chronicles their personal and professional journey. Solomon, who was also represented by YMU, departed from the agency earlier this year. It remains uncertain whether she will follow her husband to Off Limits Group.
Founded in 2017 by Chris Drake, Jim Erwood, and Rossella Castellana, Off Limits Group—formerly known as Off Limits Entertainment—boasts a client roster that includes Little Mix singer Jesy Nelson and Celebrity Big Brother star Chris Hughes.
The agency has been expanding recently; in October of last year, it brought on Rebekka Taylor, formerly the talent director at YMU’s global entertainment unit. Additionally, Josie Mackie, YMU’s legal director, has transitioned to Off Limits Group in the role of head of legal and business affairs.
Commenting on his move, Swash stated, “Off Limits have already built something really impressive. It’s a young, ambitious and growing team who are bringing fresh ideas and a new perspective, and that spoke to me.”
Taylor expressed enthusiasm about Swash’s new role, calling it “a very special moment for us.” Drake added, “Over the past year we’ve been expanding our entertainment division, bringing together talent management, brand partnerships and legal expertise to support our talent in a forward-thinking, all-inclusive and innovative way. Joe has built a remarkable connection with audiences over many years and we’re excited to work with him.”
