Jinger Duggar and Jeremy Vuolo Share Their Thoughts on Joseph and Kendra Duggar’s Legal Issues
Jinger Duggar and Jeremy Vuolo Discuss Recent Family Arrests
Jinger Duggar and her husband, Jeremy Vuolo, have voiced their feelings in response to the recent arrests of Jinger’s brother, Joseph Duggar, and his wife, Kendra Duggar. Their comments came during the March 25 episode of their podcast, “Jinger & Jeremy.”
“It has been such a long week,” Jinger, 32, expressed. “It feels like years. I did not think my heart could break like it has this week. The pain and heartbreak we’ve experienced thinking about how this has affected so many is unthinkable and painful on many levels.”
Jeremy, 38, shared his own devastation regarding the situation, noting that the couple was taking time to process the events surrounding Joseph’s arrest on allegations of child molestation. “Thinking about the victim who was brave enough to share her story has been heartbreaking,” he remarked, emphasizing the profound impact of such a crime. “The ripple effect of that horrific crime is devastating to think about.”
Both Jinger and Jeremy are keeping the victim and all affected individuals in their thoughts and prayers. Jinger admitted, “I don’t even have words. You can’t be prepared for news like this,” referencing the heartache their family has endured due to past incidents involving other relatives. “The pain and hurt it causes is difficult to navigate, and you just feel the weight of it.”
Earlier this month, Joseph, 31, was arrested on charges related to lewd conduct involving a victim who was less than 12 years old, stemming from an alleged incident in 2020. According to the Bay County Sheriff’s Office, during a family vacation in Florida, Joseph reportedly asked the minor to sit on his lap and touched her inappropriately. After the allegations were brought to light by the victim’s father, Joseph admitted his actions to both the family and authorities.
Joseph’s virtual court appearance on March 20 revealed that he waived his right to an extradition hearing, agreeing to be transferred to Florida without entering a plea.
Amid these developments, Kendra faced legal issues of her own. She was arrested in Arkansas on charges of endangering the welfare of a minor and false imprisonment. A source clarified that Kendra’s arrest was a separate matter related to a home investigation conducted after Joseph’s arrest. A spokesperson for the Duggar family stated that Kendra’s situation involves a misdemeanor charge unrelated to the Florida case.
