BTS has officially launched their world tour supporting ARIRANG, with an electrifying performance at Goyang Stadium in South Korea on April 9. In a heartfelt message shared on Weverse, Jin expressed his joy regarding the occasion.
“ARMY,” the performer wrote. “I had so much fun at Arirang Tour’s first concert. I feel comfortable performing as a team and being in the same space with ARMY, so I feel like I’m back home.”
Jin further invited fans to join him again, saying, “I hope to see you all together next time! Then let’s meet on Saturday and jump together! Get home safely and good night everyone.”
The Bangtan Boys are scheduled to perform two additional shows at Goyang Stadium before heading to Tokyo. The tour, which will continue through March of next year, includes planned stops in cities across North America, Latin America, Europe, Australia, and Asia.
In addition to the tour and the release of ARIRANG in March—the album debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200—BTS has been actively promoting this era. The group has already dropped three music videos for the album’s tracks: “SWIM,” “2.0,” and “Hooligan.” They have also recently appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Wired’s auto-complete series, and Hot Ones.
On the April 9 episode of Hot Ones, the band shared insights with host Sean Evans about how they curated the ARIRANG tracklist. “We all gathered in one place and listened to all the songs, from track No. 1 to track 100,” Jung Kook explained. “We’d discuss while we listened. ‘How is this?’ or ‘Thoughts on this.’ Almost in a pure fashion.”
V added, “And if I remember correctly, we had a point-scoring system.”
