Jimmy Fox Promoted to President of Content and Strategy at Fremantle Amid Executive Changes
Jimmy Fox has been promoted to President of Content and Strategy at Fremantle, elevating his previous role as Executive Vice President of Unscripted Development and Sales. The announcement reflects Fremantle’s ongoing adjustments within its executive team, as the company continues to evolve under its ownership by RTL Group.
Based in Los Angeles, Fox will continue to report directly to Fremantle CEO Jennifer Mullin. His leadership has been pivotal in launching significant projects, including the Netflix film Evil Influencer and the recent revamp of ABC’s Match Game, hosted by Martin Short. Additionally, he has played a crucial role in developing the upcoming Netflix competition series Win the Mall, which is slated to begin production later this month.
“Since joining the company, Jimmy has been an instrumental leader across both our creative and business efforts, consistently demonstrating an ability to identify opportunities and turn them into results,” said Mullin. “From launching standout projects to forging key partnerships, his impact has been felt across the organization, and I am delighted to see him step into this expanded role.”
This promotion follows the recent appointment of Ben Crompton as the new global entertainment head, succeeding Andrew Llinares, who exited the position in February. The reshuffling within Fremantle’s leadership team comes amidst other notable departures, including that of global scripted chief Christian Vesper.
In a related development, RTL Group recently reported a €95 million ($106.8 million) write-down in Fremantle program costs. This decision brings an end to Fremantle’s fully financed film production business while reassessing its first-look agreements. Additionally, Fremantle’s overall revenue for 2025 declined by nearly 10%, dropping to €2.03 billion from €2.24 billion the previous year, attributed primarily to decreases in entertainment revenue in both the U.S. and the UK.
