Jessica Sutta of the Pussycat Dolls Shares Why She Was Excluded from the Reunion Tour: “I Felt Like a Liability”

Carmit Bachar has expressed her uncertainty regarding her absence from the upcoming reunion tour of the Pussycat Dolls. In contrast, original member Jessica Sutta believes she understands the reasoning behind her exclusion.
During a recent episode of The Maverick Approach podcast, Sutta shared her perspective with host Maverick Bailey about why she was not invited to rejoin the group.
“I aligned with Bobby Kennedy, which is aligned with MAGA,” Sutta stated, further adding, “I was a liability,” and characterized the reunion as a “cash grab.” She noted a shift in her political engagement, revealing that her “life depended on it.”
In a 2025 interview with Daily Mail, Sutta discussed experiencing a “debilitating” injury attributed to the COVID-19 vaccine. This experience connected her to Robert F. Kennedy Jr., for whom she campaigned in the 2024 U.S. presidential election. Although Sutta does not agree with every action taken by former President Trump, she embraced the MAGA label, asserting her commitment to RFK Jr. and his policies despite facing backlash.
“People are screaming at me, ‘You’re MAGA, You’re MAGA,’” she remarked. “Yeah, I am MAGA. I triple down on it because I’m sick of people telling me who I should be.”
This is not the first instance of Sutta addressing her exclusion from the reunion. Following the announcement of the tour, she expressed her feelings on Instagram, stating that she learned about the reunion right before it was made public and did not have sufficient time to prepare for the ensuing reactions.
“And if we are really being honest, you can’t trip on what’s behind you,” she concluded in her post. “Good luck, ladies.”
Sutta is not alone in her exclusion from the reunion. In response to the announcement of the three-member tour and the release of their new single, “Club Song,” Carmit Bachar revealed on Instagram that she was unaware of the reunion plans.
“I was not contacted regarding the group’s decision to move forward, and I learned of these plans at the same time as the public,” Bachar stated. She ultimately expressed her intention to focus on her well-being and upcoming projects.
The original lineup of the Pussycat Dolls included Nicole Scherzinger, Kimberly Wyatt, Ashley Roberts, Melody Thornton, Bachar, and Sutta. Yet, only Scherzinger, Wyatt, and Roberts will be reuniting. While both Bachar and Sutta have voiced their feelings about being left out, Thornton, who has been absent from the group since 2010, has yet to make a public statement.
