Jessica Simpson Celebrates Christmas Spirit with Children
Jessica Simpson is embracing the holiday season with her three children. On December 3, the 45-year-old singer shared a heartwarming photo of her kids in front of their Christmas tree on Instagram.
In the photograph, her 13-year-old daughter, Maxwell Drew, is seen wearing a brown sweater and blue jeans, playfully posing with her tongue out while resting her arm on her younger sister, Birdie Mae, 6. Birdie wore a denim skirt and a white tank top, grinning as she nestled under the arm of her brother, Ace Knute, 12, who was clad in plaid pajama bottoms and a brown shirt.
“Christmas time is here! What the month of December brings to my kiddos has always been about the genuine feelings of love, excitement, hope, happiness, grace, and pure JOY!” Simpson captioned her post. She added, “Wishin’ you and yours all the many blessings this month has to offer y’all’s hearts ❤️🎄💚🎄.”
Recently, Simpson and her estranged husband, Eric Johnson, appeared united during Thanksgiving, celebrating the holiday together with their children. Simpson noted that “of course” Johnson joined them at her mother Tina’s house to spend the day with the family, emphasizing the importance of family relationships. “It’s my kids’ father,” she explained. “And all their grandparents were there; they have a lot of ’em. Family first.”
The couple announced their separation in January after nearly ten years of marriage. When asked if she had advice for those navigating similar circumstances during the holiday season, Simpson highlighted the significance of maintaining unconditional love. “No matter what, your kid is half the other person,” she said, stressing the importance of showing respect in conversations around children to help them maintain a positive perspective.
In another recent post, Simpson shared pictures of Birdie dressed as her mother for school spirit week. Birdie showcased her mother’s iconic style, complete with a high ponytail and a T-shirt featuring Simpson’s face, along with denim cut-off shorts. “Today is dress as your favorite artist for spirit week at school and Bird wanted to dress up as meeeeee,” Simpson wrote.
