Jennifer Lawrence captured attention at the 2026 Golden Globe Awards held on January 11 in Los Angeles, stepping out in what many hailed as the most striking ensemble of the night. The 35-year-old actress’s appearance marked a shift from her traditionally modest red carpet style.
Lawrence wore a custom Givenchy gown characterized by a plunging neckline, side cutouts, and floral embroidery, which drew comparisons to Beyoncé’s famous nude dress from the 2015 Met Gala. She paired the gown with a matching blush shawl, and her hair was styled in soft waves for an elegant finish.
On the red carpet, Lawrence expressed her enthusiasm for the evening. “No I’m going to hang. I’m naked, I might as well,” she joked, adding that her children wished she had opted for a night at home instead, remarking, “They would prefer I not be here.”

Reflecting on her role, Lawrence shared, “I didn’t really end up having really bad postpartum [anxiety] until my second [baby].” She has a three-year-old son, Cy, and a nine-month-old baby boy with her husband, Cooke Maroney. Her personal experiences have given her insight into the role’s emotional depths.
In an October interview, Lawrence also discussed her body image and experiences during the filming of a nude scene post-pregnancy. “Everything bounced back, pretty much, after the first one,” she explained, adding, “Second one, nothing bounced back.” She opened up about the anxieties of motherhood, expressing sentiments of overwhelming worry regarding her children’s wellbeing.
