Jennifer Garner and her mother, Patricia “Pat” Garner, shared an emotional moment as they revisited the actress’s childhood kitchen in a video released on December 7. The surprise, orchestrated by KitchenAid, featured a replica of their home kitchen from Charleston, West Virginia.
Stepping into the replica, the 53-year-old actress was overwhelmed, with familiar elements such as a wooden table and green refrigerator stirring memories. "This is where we would hang out, all our crafts happened right here with somebody looking through from that side," Jennifer reminisced, pointing out the cabinet where her mother used to hide chocolate chips.
Pat, now 87, noted, “It’s a privilege to get to see where we used to be.” In a poignant moment, Jennifer expressed her longing for the past, saying, “I want that to be the den and then I wanna hear dad come home from work. That’s what I feel.” Their father, William Garner, passed away in 2024.
The visit stirred nostalgia for both women, particularly for Pat, who recalled the wallpaper’s patterns triggering memories of their family home. Jennifer described the experience as giving her “a really deep feeling of homesickness and gratitude,” reminiscing about the beloved meals her mother prepared for them, from homemade pizza to the cookies that filled their childhood.
Later in the video, the duo baked their famous “chock-full cookies,” savoring the moment together in the replica kitchen.
In addition to this heartwarming reunion, Pat recently appeared on Jennifer’s Pretend Cooking Show, where they prepared her famous enchiladas from a cherished recipe. Garner celebrated her mother’s 86th birthday with a heartfelt tribute on social media, highlighting the joy and humor their relationship brings.
