Jelly Roll and Carín León Collaborate on ‘Lighter,’ the First Single for the FIFA World Cup 2026 Album
Upcoming FIFA World Cup Album Features Jelly Roll and Carín León
The 2026 FIFA World Cup is set to launch one of its most ambitious projects yet—a collaborative music album that merges the worlds of music and soccer. Billboard has confirmed that the first single from this album will feature a collaboration between artists Jelly Roll and Carín León.
The announcement came via FIFA President Gianni Infantino, who shared the news on social media on March 16. In his post, he expressed enthusiasm for the project’s diversity, stating, “established stars and new voices representing different styles and different cultures from around the world are collaborating to create one global rhythm that will celebrate our beautiful game.”
The single, titled “Lighter,” which blends elements of country and rock, is set to release on March 20. Produced by Canadian hitmaker Cirkut, the song is anticipated to make a strong impression, with Infantino declaring it “groundbreaking and sets the tone for everything to come” in a promotional video.
According to an official statement, “Lighter” aims to unite the three host nations—Canada, Mexico, and the United States—through a collaborative sound that transcends borders and genres. It reflects the cultural energy shared among these countries, aligning with the global enthusiasm surrounding the tournament.
This World Cup will mark a historic first, as it takes place across three nations, with matches scheduled from June 11 to July 19 in 11 U.S. cities, three in Mexico, and two in Canada. The final match is slated for the New York-New Jersey Stadium, promising an exciting culmination to a month-long celebration of soccer.
