Jason Momoa, Shailene Woodley, Elijah Wood, and Alec Baldwin to Appear in Travel and Culture Series ‘A Road Map to Happiness’ at Sundance
New Series Explores Happiness with A-List Cast at Sundance Film Festival
A new independent travel and culture series titled A Roadmap to Happiness, featuring actors Jason Momoa, Shailene Woodley, Elijah Wood, and Alec Baldwin, will be showcased at the upcoming Sundance Film Festival.
The series, led by author and podcaster Darin Olien, known for Down to Earth with Zac Efron, follows a group of actors as they journey to various corners of the globe in search of what makes people happy. Aimed at exploring diverse cultural perspectives on happiness, the docuseries promises to offer both travelers and viewers insights into different paths to contentment.
Producers of the series include Olien, Cary Floyd, Griffin Gmelich, Heather White Rezner, and cinematographer Nick Higgins. Additional cast members are expected to be announced soon, with several episodes already filmed and in post-production.
Olien commented on the initiative, stating, “I have traveled the world looking for solutions to so many of the issues we face today, and I found the search – and finding – happiness in our varied locations was the only solution needed.”
Jason Momoa remarked on his experience, saying, “People and the planet are at the heart of everything I do. Getting to go on this journey with Darin, a friend and warrior for the Earth, makes it even more special. We’re exploring what connects us, what sustains us, and why protecting it matters.”
Shailene Woodley added, “I know a lot of lives and hearts will be touched by this project, simply by how much mine was – and it was laughter that renewed my faith in humanity.”
The production team will present a seven-minute sizzle reel at Sundance, scheduled for January 24 at the World of Hyatt space on Main Street.
