Jason Lee Joins the Artists First Family
Jason Lee has signed a management agreement with Artists First.
Best known for his lead role in the Emmy-winning comedy series My Name is Earl, Lee recently portrayed Tripp Morgan, the president’s rebellious younger brother, in the Netflix drama The Residence.
Lee’s portrayal of Earl Hickey in My Name is Earl earned him two Golden Globe nominations and two Screen Actors Guild Award nominations during its four-season run on NBC. He also starred in the TNT series Memphis Beat, produced by George Clooney and Grant Heslov, which lasted for two seasons. Additional television credits include Raising Hope and Up All Night, in which he appeared alongside Christina Applegate and Maya Rudolph.
On the film front, Lee made his debut in Kevin Smith’s Mallrats, followed by his role in Chasing Amy, for which he received an Independent Spirit Award for Best Supporting Actor. He later starred in acclaimed films such as Vanilla Sky and the Oscar-winning Almost Famous directed by Cameron Crowe. Additionally, Lee has collaborated with notable directors such as Barry Sonnenfeld on Big Trouble and Tony Scott on Enemy of the State. He also lent his voice to characters in animated films, including Dave in the Alvin and the Chipmunks franchise, Syndrome in Pixar’s The Incredibles, and Charlie in Cartoon Network’s We Bare Bears.

Outside of acting, Lee is a former professional skateboarder and a recent inductee into the Skateboarding Hall of Fame. He co-founded Stereo Skateboards in 1992 with fellow professional skateboarder Chris Pastras. In addition to his skating career, Lee is an accomplished film photographer, with his work showcased in various exhibitions, magazines, and books.
