Jason Clarke Teams Up with Viola Davis in Exciting Amazon MGM Thriller ‘Ally Clark’
Jason Clarke to Join Viola Davis in Upcoming Thriller ‘Ally Clark’
In an exciting development, actor Jason Clarke has signed on to star alongside Viola Davis in the anticipated thriller Ally Clark, a project currently in production at Amazon MGM Studios. This news follows an initial report last June highlighting Davis’s role in the film.
Details regarding Clarke’s character have yet to be disclosed.
Written by Jose Ruisanchez and Irwin Winkler, with Phillip Noyce serving as director, Ally Clark promises a dramatic journey as it shifts from the towering skyscrapers of New York City to the bayous of Louisiana and the icy landscapes of Alaska. The narrative follows investigator Ally Clark (played by Davis) as she delves into a dangerous investigation linked to the suspicious death of a close friend, connected to the international conglomerate at the center of the plot.
The production team includes Irwin Winkler, Charles Winkler, David Winkler, and Ruisanchez from Winkler Films, as well as Davis and Julius Tennon from JuVee Productions. Executive producers for JuVee will be Melanie Clark and Ian Watermeier.
Clarke has been busy in recent months, with projects including a role in the live-action Gundam film alongside Sydney Sweeney and Noah Centineo, which is set to be released on Netflix. He is also part of Tom McCarthy’s new drama exploring climate conferences for Sony Pictures Classics. Recently, he completed production on F.A.S.T., an action-thriller from Warner Bros. penned by Taylor Sheridan. His recent credits also include appearances in the Netflix political thriller A House of Dynamite, the Hulu limited series Murdaugh: Death in the Family, where he portrays convicted murderer Alex Murdaugh, and Apple’s The Last Frontier.
Jason Clarke is represented by Robert Stein Management, CAA, and Goodman, Genow, Schenkman.
