She attributed the introduction of these positions to the #MeToo movement, which has led to enhanced protocols aimed at preventing sexual harassment in the workplace. “Every time you begin a movie, you have training. What to do if there’s a problem. That never happened [before],” Fonda stated.

Reflecting on the challenges of performing intimate scenes without proper guidance, she said, "I wish that we had them when I was doing sex scenes because it’s hard. You want me to say to a guy you’re supposed to look like you’re in love with and you say, ‘But please don’t uncover my breast on the left side.’ You know, you don’t do that."

In February 2025, Fonda opened up about her perspective on aging, sharing that she feels more vibrant now in her 80s than she did in her 20s. She attributed her youthful outlook to a deep connection with her inner self and noted, “I don’t feel like an old person.
