Jamie Dornan’s SNL UK Promo: The Moment He Learns He Won’t Be the Next James Bond
In a surprising twist, Jamie Dornan revealed that he lost the coveted role of James Bond to none other than Kermit the Frog. This revelation came during a skit promoting his upcoming hosting stint on SNL UK.
The sketch features Dornan rehearsing his monologue while fellow cast members Hammed Animashaun, Celeste Dring, and Al Nash approach. As their conversation unfolds, Nash’s phone begins to buzz.
“Sorry, I’m expecting a call from the Bond people,” Nash says. He adds that it is a tight competition, with only him and Jacob Elordi vying for the iconic role. “Fingers crossed!”
Dornan, known for his role in Fifty Shades of Grey, responds with a sense of disappointment. “I was in the running for Bond,” he admits, acknowledging his status as a long-time favorite for the part.
The pair then attempts the famous line, “My name’s Bond, James Bond.” While Dornan delivers a serious rendition, Nash lightheartedly mimics Kermit the Frog, prompting Dornan’s incredulous reaction.
As the sketch concludes, a bemused Dornan watches the trio meander off.
