Jack Nicklaus Reflects on His Close Call with a Ceremonial Shot at the Masters
Jack Nicklaus made a memorable appearance at the Masters on Thursday, delivering a ceremonial tee shot that sailed low and left, just above the heads of fans in attendance.
The 86-year-old golfing legend, who is in the process of recovering from recent carpal tunnel surgery, lightened the mood by joking, “I haven’t killed anybody yet” with a wayward shot.
As the honorary starter of the Masters since 2010, Nicklaus expressed his intention to continue the cherished tradition for as long as he is able to hit the ball safely.
