How the WME Layoffs Are Affecting Talent Agents
WME Faces Layoffs as Industry Shake-Up Affects Established Agents
In a recent wave of layoffs at WME, notable names within the agency are beginning to surface as individuals impacted by the cuts. The news has sent ripples throughout Hollywood as industry professionals absorb the implications.
Elizabeth Wiederseim, a prominent talent agent known for representing Colman Domingo—who received Oscar, BAFTA, and Golden Globe nominations for his work in Rustin—is reportedly among those leaving WME. Wiederseim also supported Leo Woodall in his transition from a breakout role in HBO’s The White Lotus to Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy.
Sources indicate that Pierre-Elliott Denizard, who has spent five years at WME, has also been affected by the layoffs. Additionally, Julia Colares, who has been with the agency for three years, parted ways with WME just a month prior. Both Denizard and Colares were homegrown talent, having been promoted to agent roles within the agency.
The layoffs have also extended to WME’s music department, signaling wider shifts within the organization.
As the situation develops, updates will be provided regarding further agent departures. WME has not issued any comments on the matter.
