Prime Video to Premiere Biblical Drama ‘House of David’ on March 27
Prime Video has announced that it will launch the biblical drama House of David, produced by Wonder Project and Amazon MGM Studios, on March 27. All episodes will be available globally on the streaming platform.
The second season of House of David delves into a tumultuous period in Israel’s history, as King Saul’s reign begins to falter. The storyline follows David as he transitions from shepherd to warrior, navigating the complexities of loyalty and destiny amidst an era of shifting warfare and societal upheaval. Viewers will witness layered narratives of fractured families, forbidden romances, and evolving alliances as faith and power clash, poised to determine Israel’s future.
Michael Iskander stars as David, flanked by Ali Suliman portraying King Saul, Ayelet Zurer as Queen Ahinoam, and Stephen Lang as Samuel. The cast also features Indy Lewis, Yali Topol Margalith, Ethan Kai, Sam Otto, Oded Fehr, Louis Ferreira, Davood Ghadami, Ashraf Barhom, and Alexander Uloom.
House of David is brought to fruition by Jon Erwin and Jon Gunn from Wonder Project, who also serve as executive producers alongside Jonathan Lloyd Walker, Justin Rosenblatt, Chad Oakes, Michael Frislev, Trey Callaway, and Mark McNair. Justin Rosenblatt takes charge of production on behalf of Wonder Project. Dallas Jenkins, known for The Chosen, is a shareholder and serves as a special advisor to Wonder Project. The series is produced in collaboration with Nomadic Pictures, Argonauts, Kingdom Story Company, and Lionsgate Television.
