Honeymoon with Harry: Kevin Costner, Jake Gyllenhaal, and Sarah Pidgeon to Begin Filming in Queensland This April
Filming of the dramedy Honeymoon with Harry begins this April in Queensland, Australia. Directed by Glenn Ficarra and John Requa, the film stars Kevin Costner and Jake Gyllenhaal, with Sarah Pidgeon, known for her role in I Know What You Did Last Summer, also in discussions to join the cast.
This Amazon MGM Studio production adds to the growing list of projects filmed in Queensland, with principal photography set to take place in Brisbane and the scenic Whitsunday Islands.
Based on Bart Baker’s novel, Honeymoon with Harry tells the story of a rough-around-the-edges man (Gyllenhaal) who embarks on an unplanned journey with his fiancée’s overprotective father (Costner) after a life-changing event disrupts their plans. Amidst the tropical backdrop of an island honeymoon, the pair engage in a tug-of-war dynamic, ultimately discovering an unexpected bond in this emotional tale.
The announcement of the shoot came from Screen Queensland, which highlighted the state’s Minister for the Arts, John-Paul Langbroek. He emphasized that the organization’s Production Attraction Strategy (PAS) continues to generate employment and economic benefits for the region.
